About the Opportunity Exeter City Football Club is offering a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven university student to join our Academy as a Performance Analyst. This role is designed for a sandwich year student eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical, elite football environment. Working within the Academy setup, the successful applicant will gain valuable experience by contributing to the development of young players aspiring to reach the First Team and beyond. You will be guided by the Head of Academy Sport Science and Medicine and supported by the First Team Performance Analyst department. Role Responsibilities • Analysis: Record and analyse U18 matches and training sessions, providing detailed insights and individual player clips. • Equipment Management: Ensure Veo equipment is maintained, secured, and regularly serviced. • Data Organisation: Keep Veo and Hudl cloud storage well-organised for efficient retrieval and audit purposes. • Collaboration: Work closely with coaches and support staff to meet performance analysis objectives. • Development: Continuously expand your skills and knowledge in performance analytics. Desirable Criteria: • FA DBS check, BFAS certification, and Safeguarding Children Certificate (or willingness to obtain). • Experience with performance analysis tools such as Hudl and Wyscout. • Prior experience in a professional sports setting. Job Description & Specific Role Requirements Reporting To & Key Liaison with • Head of Academy Sport Science and Medicine • Lead U18’s Coach Purpose & Role function • Record all U18 matches and training sessions. • Provide detailed analysis of all U18 games. • Uphold and demonstrate the values, standards and behaviours expected by ECFC both inside & outside the Club. Other Key relationships • Academy Performance Analyst (Part-Time) • 1st team Analysis Team • Lead PDP coach • Lead Phase Coaches • Part Time Coaches Role Summary • Assist the academy in providing individual player clips. • Ensure Veo equipment is secure in all weather conditions. • Maintain and service Veo equipment regularly. • Keep Veo and Hudl cloud storage organised and tidy. • Continuously develop knowledge in performance analytics. • Undertake any other reasonable and relevant tasks as assigned. Safeguarding • Attend seasonal safeguarding training as required by the Club. • Adhere to all guidelines contained within the Club's Safeguarding Policy. • Utilise the ‘MyConcern’ system to ‘recognise, respond, report and record’ any safeguarding incidents in a timely and detailed manner. • Place player safety and welfare as a top priority at all times. • Ensure all medical equipment is safe & stored securely.
