Want to feel valued, supported, and make a real difference every day?
If you're looking for a role where you can build meaningful relationships, develop specialist skills, and see first-hand the impact of your work, this is the opportunity for you.
We believe every child deserves the chance to gain independence, develop confidence, and experience success in their own way, and we need dedicated people like you to help make that happen.
We're looking for two SEN Teaching Assistants to work with students who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You'll play an essential role in helping them navigate their world; whether that's supporting communication, movement, sensory development, or life skills.
Why join us?
✅ A career with purpose - Every day, you'll see the difference you're making in a child's life.
✅ Specialist training & career development - Whether you're experienced or new to PMLD, we offer full training and mentoring, equipping you with valuable skills in SEN support, alternative communication, and therapeutic interventions. Experience working in SEN is preferred.
✅ A team that values your input - You'll work alongside teachers, therapists, and medical professionals, collaborating to shape the best support for each child.
✅ Varied and rewarding work - No two days are the same. You'll be supporting students in learning, therapy, sensory exploration, and everyday life skills.
What will you be doing?
Helping students learn & communicate - Support children with PMLD to engage with learning through sensory strategies, communication tools (Makaton, PECS) and structured activities.
Providing individual and small-group support - Adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they feel safe, heard, and supported.
Supporting therapy & care needs - Assist students with physiotherapy, personal care, respiratory support, and alternative feeding methods (full training provided).
Creating a positive learning environment - Help students develop essential life skills, celebrate their achievements, and build their confidence.
What do we need from you?
✅ GCSEs in English & Maths
✅ A caring, adaptable, and resilient attitude
✅ The ability to work collaboratively and take initiative
✅ Previous experience in a PMLD or SEN setting is ideal, and further training will be provided
⚠️ Important: This role requires an enhanced DBS check with child and adult barred lists, as well as a referenceable UK employment history.
