Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully trained SCP to join the Urology Team at Southend Hospital for a fixed term period. The Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) role is well established within healthcare organisations and has been shown to enhance patient care, maintain surgical services and support surgical training. The role encompasses the provision of care and appropriate intervention within the pre, peri and post-operative environment and the you will also be required to provide skilled surgical first assistance, particularly in robotic surgery. Main duties of the job You will be an integral part of the team supporting the directorate in the delivery of key performance targets particularly the quality and experience agenda. You will support the teams to create an environment of continuous quality improvement and professional development ensuring that the delivery of patient care is regularly reviewed, and that service developments or change are implemented when necessary.
