We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join our Sales team, based in the South East, and build strong relationships with our customers to exceed their expectations. As a Sales Engineer, you will be part of a growing Regional Sales team working across all industries in the South East of England.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Engineer - Regional Sales
1. Establishing and maintaining technical and application knowledge of SICK Sensory Intelligence products and solutions
2. Achieving the sales targets by organising sales activities efficiently:
1. Lead and opportunity management
2. Managing key accounts
3. Target of 500 visits per annum (On-Site)
4. Responsibility for the South East area utilising knowledge & creativity to bring collective business success
5. Effectively set up and demonstrate SICK products and their technologies
6. Prepare and follow up sales proposals / quotations
7. Inform customers of product developments
8. Proactively generating enquiries and leads through social media, networking and exhibitions
3. Maintain the CRM dynamics 365 system, including customer interactions, potential & quotes.
4. In conjunction with the Manager - Regional Sales involving specialist team members such as Product Management, Marketing Services, International Key Account Management and Strategic Industry Managers within the segment teams to ensure the development of innovative value-added offers to secure a complete solution for the customer.
Essential Skills, Experience & Competencies
1. At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role in the UK
2. Knowledge of OEM, end user and system integrator customers in the region
3. Electrical / Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent is desirable
4. Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
5. Excellent proven account management skills
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Excellent IT & social media skills
8. On occasion being able to travel and stay overnight in the UK and Europe
