Are you a highly motivated, enthusiastic and thoughtful Registered Nurse Associate? Can you support your Nursing, Medical and MDT to provide excellent inpatient care for our patients?
Vaughan Thomas ward is an 18 bedded Male Psychiatric Acute inpatient ward for those who have acute or severe and enduring mental illnesses, often with co-morbidities, which require treatment which would otherwise not be able to be given in the community or acute ward environment.
Vaughan Thomas Ward aim to provide the most intensive nursing care and proactive and effective treatment to promote service users to recover and return to their usual place of residence.
As our Registered Nurse Associate you'll assist our dedicated members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in implementing and evaluating individual care plans by working alongside the patient to support their recovery journey. Your duties will also include actively supporting individual clients in engaging with their local community and reducing social isolation.

5. Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register. Completion of Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.

8. Ability to recognise own limitations in the context of the nursing associate role.
9. Detailed knowledge and understanding of appropriate procedures and treatment plans.

11. Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate trainees, other learners and healthcare support workers as required within clinical settings.

12. Excellent interpersonal skills.
13. Effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication with patients, relatives, carers and all members of multi-disciplinary teams.
14. Ability to work with patients from a diverse range of religious, cultural, and social backgrounds to meet their needs.
15. Ability to understand and confidently assess and identify safeguarding concerns, along with knowing how to report and escalate. Passionate about ensuring the welfare of vulnerable adults and children.
