This Senior Mechanical Engineer role is key to ensuring we remain at the forefront of the sector. As Mesh Energy continues to grow, we hope for the Senior Mechanical Engineer to grow with us into further senior management roles.
Where do we work?
Wherever you are most productive. Either the main office in central Farnham, Surrey, or at home. Our current team comes into the office at least once a week to keep team dynamics healthy, and the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be expected to travel into London and other sites across the UK too.
Responsibilities:
* Excellent levels of communication with clients from initial kick-off meeting through to handover.
* Manage & lead projects, liaising with internal design team members and external figures (architects, interior designers, planning consultancies).
* Producing full RIBA Stage 3 & 4 documentation to a high level of quality.
* Manage an effective, productive, and growing team of low carbon service design engineers.
* Work with the executive team to continue to improve customer satisfaction and implementation of processes to improve project delivery.
* Site visits and design team meeting attendance.
* Work actively with subcontractors to support overall team delivery goals.
* Assist with active recruitment of new team members.

The technical stuff:
* At least a bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
* Over 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer (building services).
* In-depth knowledge of team management techniques and best practices.
* Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
* Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
