Job Description
* To provide fundraising stewardship to people participating in challenges through telephone calls and emails.
* To resolve day-to-day queries about the running of online fundraising pages as they arise, as well as more general fundraising queries.
* To follow up with individuals experiencing difficulties and encourage them to meet fundraising deadlines.
* To identify high fundraisers and offer personalized support, developing a pipeline where appropriate.
* Follow up with fundraisers who miss deadlines to offer additional support and motivation.
* Cross-promoting activities to supporters.
* To collaborate with internal teams such as Events, Support, Finance, Social Media, and PR.
* To communicate issues and respond to internal fundraising queries from other teams, working collaboratively to maximize income and ensure the smooth running of the department.
* To assist in managing processes and administration for fundraising items such as collection tubs, buckets, and banners.
* To assist in the development of fundraising activities, including working with fundraising groups, community fundraising, promoting the lottery, monthly donors, potential legacy leavers, and giving campaigns. Providing experience and advice to assist in the growth and development of new income streams. Other activities as required.
* To write social media posts, blogs, and emails for mass communications, liaise with the Social Media team, and update website content as necessary.
* To assist with the training and management of junior staff as needed.
* To support the Head of Fundraising as required and provide regular updates.
* To identify opportunities for promoting the charity, attend ad hoc events as needed, and maximize promotional opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in at least one area of fundraising and must have worked in a fundraising department is essential.
* Customer support experience.
* Good problem-solving abilities.
* Good understanding of current technology.
* Experience in multitasking and prioritizing.
* Experienced in face-to-face interactions and relationship building.
* Ability to identify opportunities and capitalize on them.
