Engineering Technician - Food Equipment (Onsite)
*High Speed Automation Equipment*
Responsibilities include:
* Warehouse organisation and general housekeeping
* Machinery conditioning
* Keep tracking systems up to date
* Assisting in the setup of customer demonstrations and trials
* Testing and refurbishing various parts and machinery
Previous relevant experience is essential - candidates MUST be from an Engineering background and ideally have relevant experience of food equipment (processing or packaging machinery) or similar.
General description:
- Housekeeping and organisation of stock machinery and associated components
- Housekeeping of demo and repair areas, including tools and associated equipment
- Assisting in machinery repairs with the service team
- Preparing an area and readying machinery for demonstrations and trials in conjunction with the sales team
- Returning machinery and areas to a suitable condition after demonstrations and trials
- Assisting in machinery repairs with the service team ensuring parts availability for repairs to be carried out
- Testing and preparing stock/rental machinery prior to site delivery
- Testing and preparing returned machinery
- Refurbishment of customer components
- Testing returned items and assessing for warranty return claims
- Programming drives and controls being supplied to customers (after training)
- Sharpening of blades for customers (after training)
- Assisting with spare parts and urgent deliveries
Required for the role:
- Certified electrical qualifications with good electrical/mechanical skills
- Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Fork truck driving license is desirable but not essential
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft word & Excel
- The ability to upload and download software to drives and controls (specific range training will be provided)
