Property Catastrophe Risk Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join our CAT (property catastrophe- a segment of our reinsurance business) team in London as a Property Catastrophe Risk Analyst. This role is pivotal in our expansion efforts, focusing on strategic priorities through enhanced data and analytics.
In this role, you will:
* Utilize vendor and Nephila proprietary modelling tools, together with Nephila's view of risk, to guide risk assessment.
* Analyze and evaluate data to enhance decision-making processes and performance outcomes.
* Engage with Nephila's Research team and assist in projects focused on view of risk refinements and improvements.
* Collaborate with business partners to uncover new insights and ask innovative questions addressable through data analysis.
* Assist with broker relationships and handle enquiries efficiently and in a professional manner.
* Proactively improve processes and data quality, working collaboratively within and beyond the team.
* Contribute to key processes like post-event loss estimation and underwriting support during critical renewal periods.
* Develop, maintain, and report on risk portfolio metrics for informed decision-making.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM (QUALIFICATIONS):
* You have 2+ years of relevant experience
* You have a quantitative and cat modelling background with experience using AIR Touchstone / Touchstone Re and RMS RiskLink / Risk Manager
* You have strong Microsoft Excel skills and can manipulate and prepare large data sets and identify trends and anomalies within data
* A Bachelor's degree is required for this role
