We are looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our Glasgow site, driving operational excellence and achieving outstanding business results. About the Role As General Manager at Steer, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, performance, and success of our Glasgow operation. You will oversee all aspects of site management, from team leadership and workflow management to customer satisfaction and financial performance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all site operations, ensuring efficiency and delivery of high-quality repair services. Lead and support a team of accident repair professionals, including technicians, estimators, and administrative staff. Drive business performance through KPI tracking, cost control, and resource optimisation. Develop strong relationships with insurance partners, suppliers, and customers. Maintain high standards of customer service, quality assurance, and operational compliance. Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are upheld at all times. Lead recruitment efforts and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs. Continuously review and improve processes, performance, and site profitability. About You We're seeking a passionate and capable leader with experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a senior operational or general management role. Requirements: Proven experience as a General Manager, Bodyshop Manager, or similar senior leadership role. Strong understanding of automotive repair operations and industry best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills. Financial and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability. Organised, proactive, and solution-focused. Confident managing customer relationships and delivering on service expectations. Familiarity with management software and reporting systems.
