As the Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, driving the success of our logistics chain and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
You’ll collaborate with key teams - including Transport, inventory, returns and outbase- while building strong relationships with commercial, quality, people and Health and safety functions.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
* Motivate and guide your supervisory team to achieve objectives and resolve operational challenges while delivering exceptional experience for all employees.
* Effectively allocate and manage staff resources to adapt to changing demands.
* Foster employee engagement by driving involvement in platforms like Yammer, boosting happiness and participation across teams.
Performance and productivity:
* Ensure customer service, cost efficiency and performance benchmarks are met by using data to evaluate and enhance operations.
* Leverage KPIs to monitor and improve staff performance, driving continuous improvement.
* Manage productivity by driving efficiencies in storage, dispatch, and overall operations to maximize output.
Employee Experience and Development
* Execute people processes fairly and consistently, fostering a high-performance culture that motivates and empowers the team.
* Collaborate with the People Coordinator and Trainer to deliver recruitment and training plans, enhancing retention, reducing absences, and boosting ENPS scores.
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are rigorously followed, maintaining a safe environment for everyone on-site.
* Take responsibility for compliance audits, including stock management, daily performance, and other key areas.
* Build an effective communication system between the warehouse and the broader supply chain, including Inventory, Returns, Transport, Outbases, and external providers.
* Act as the key liaison with third-party clients and work closely with the Client Services team to maintain strong relationships.
Multi-Site & Maintenance Oversight
* Support multiple sites during holidays or other absences, ensuring continuity and operational excellence.
* Oversee site maintenance, escalating defects to the maintenance team and ensuring timely resolutions.
Setting Standards & Driving Results
* Take ownership of delivery performance in key areas such as damage reduction, warehouse handling, and minimizing operational failures.
* Contribute to resetting operational standards and creating new KPIs that maximize overall site performance.
* Provide ongoing support for outbases with consistent communication on dispatch updates.
A Few Things About You
Experience & Knowledge
* Deep understanding of inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
* Proven leader skilled in motivating and developing diverse teams.
* Strong grasp of HR processes, performance management, and meeting KPIs within tight deadlines.
* Hands-on experience with stock management, audits, and adapting to fluctuating workloads.
* Familiarity with supply chain processes and interdepartmental collaboration.
