This position, based in Banbury and reporting to the Operations Director, is part of the Composites Value Stream. The Maintenance & Facilities Lead plays a pivotal role in identifying, planning, and coordinating all onsite maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of plant, machinery, and building services. The role involves managing budgets, leading the team, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the site. What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like? Manage, lead, and motivate the Maintenance & Facilities team. Develop and implement a robust and long-term site facilities management plan through continuous improvement. Align with the Operations Lead to develop and progress a plant asset care strategy, maximising equipment availability through planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance. Work closely with the EHS Senior Lead to advance EHS strategies aligned with business objectives. Leverage best practices across Collins Aerospace sites. Maintain responsibility for departmental budget management and ensure stock control across critical spares and consumables. Specify, select, and manage internal and outsourced strategies for services such as security, janitorial, waste management, and site improvements. Support new equipment installations, modifications, and safe system installations. Coordinate the movement of assembly lines and machinery. Assist with implementing changes to manufacturing processes. Ensure the continuous development of site engineering team members. What will you bring to the role? Essential skills: People Management: Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in motivating and developing teams. Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Qualification: Qualified mechanical and electrical engineer with relevant technical expertise. Project Management: Prince 2 qualification or equivalent project management experience. Desirable skills: Strong planning, leadership, and budgeting skills. Understanding of Lean, TPM, and TPS manufacturing principles. Competent change management skills. Track record of achieving challenging targets within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Commitment to a continuous improvement mindset. Energetic and results-focused, with experience in introducing an asset care programme. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and liaise effectively at all levels.
