Job Title: Skilled Vehicle Technician

Hourly Rate: £20.29 to £26.06
Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician with a passion for engineering? Our client, a leading organisation in the engineering industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their team. As a Skilled Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment to ensure their optimum performance and safety.
Responsibilities:
Conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
Carrying out MOT tests and achieving high pass rates
Ordering and collecting parts in a timely manner to maintain operational efficiency
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop environment
Maintaining accurate records and completing administrative tasks
Collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
Driving vehicles as required for collection, delivery, and testing
Mentoring and providing guidance to colleagues and trainees
Participating in professional development programmes and staying updated with industry best practisesRequired Skills and Experience:
Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications in Vehicle Technician
Full and clean driving licence for cars and motorcycles
PCV DD restricted and/or HGV Class 2 driving licence is desirable
MOT vehicle examiner certificate for Class 4 (Class 5) and Class 7 vehicles
Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, working on a variety of vehicles and equipment
Proficiency in welding, paint spraying, and fabrication
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems, body panels, and horticultural/agricultural equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
