Job summary Northumbria Endoscopy Trust wide Service is expanding. It is exciting times in Endoscopy with increased demand for our services. Our team is continuously developing and the Trust wide service is growing to allow greater access locally for our patients. An opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic, dedicated Band 5 Endoscopy Nurse to join the team. The post holders will be required to work Trust-wide across all sites if and when required. Post will also include weekend working and when competencies achieved, participation on the on-call rota for the service is required. Hours are available up to 37.5 (Full or part time hours may be considered) The post holders main base will be at North Tyneside General Hospital. The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and have an inclusive team work ethos to shape the creation of a collective team work culture within the Trust. Main duties of the job Reporting to the Endoscopy Unit Managers and Endoscopy Junior Sisters / Charge Nurse, the individual will be responsible for; holistic patient care from admission to discharge; provide cross-site cover as required; provide and plan nursing care, and provide effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team.In addition, a contribution to the attainment of JAG Accreditation within the Endoscopy Unit will be expected.
