The salary for this role is £54,376 (inclusive of a Market Premium Payment (MPP)). Onsite working is expected for 3 days each week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role is based at the following site: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
The Role

As a Senior Engineering Analyst, you will carry out mechanical engineering design activities, with an emphasis on tasks requiring computer aided engineering (CAE) tools to simulate design functionality and qualify performance. You’ll also lead teams of analysts in system wide simulation work packages and train and supervise team members.
In this role you will:
* Use and develop calculation tools and classical methods to evaluate design concepts.
* Write new analysis code and undertake code testing and validation work to enhance capability of existing analysis platforms.
* Create FE models components and assemblies and use them to explore, optimise and verify performance of design concepts.
* Write and review technical reports.
* Define test methods and safe systems of work.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Expertise in the application of Computer Aided Simulation techniques.
