The academy has a new SEND Unit for up to 24 young people with ASD. The SEND Unit has three classes, so eight pupils in each, and we are looking for a teacher to job-share for one of the classes. The successful candidate would be the SENdCo for the Designated Unit, in the remainder of the time. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and established team of practitioners who share a commitment to achieve excellence. You would need to have completed or started your qualification to be a SENdCO (either NASEN or NPQ). The academy is part of The Park Federation Academy Trust, allowing us to benefit from a wealth of expertise across our ten academies, as well as enabling us to provide opportunities for sharing of good practice and high-quality training. Two of the academies have a Specialist Resource Base already. The Trust is currently developing its own strong SEND strategy that we are hoping the successful candidate can contribute to. For the right candidate, we will offer
* extensive support and CPD in preparation for this role;
* the opportunity to work with other professional colleagues across the Multi-Academy Trust;
* a welcoming school, with friendly, enthusiastic and supportive staff team
