Whatyou’ll be doing:
* Advisingleaders at all levels on nuclear legislation, site licenseapplications, and regulatoryrequirements Managingrelationships with regulatory bodies and deploying interfacemanagementarrangements Overseeing the development and delivery of nuclearsafety governance, assurance frameworks, and independent oversightcapabilities Overseeing the development and maintenance of thenuclear baseline together with organizational changeprocesses Leadingthe design and delivery of nuclear competence assessments andtraining solutions
* Implementing compliance operating models fornuclear/radiological safety and development of compliant nuclearmanagementarrangements Preparingand maintaining nuclear safety documentation, including safetycases and associatedprocesses Supporting end-users with safety case requirements Providingauthoritative radiological protectionadvice Promotinga strong nuclear safety culture through stewardship and leadershipconcepts
Yourskills and experiences:
We are looking for people with a selection of skills andexperience in one or more of thefollowing:
* Nuclearsafety legislation, licensing, and regulatoryframeworks Goal-setting regulation andapplication of relevant good practice(RGP) Safety policy, governance,and independent challengemechanisms Regulatory interfacemanagement and permissioningarrangements Integrated managementsystems and complianceassurance Event reporting andoperational experience feedback (OEFL)systems Development of nuclearcapabilities, baselines, and organizational changemanagement Competency-based trainingframeworks using Systematic Approach to Training(SAT) Safety case developmentmethodologies and safety caseimplementation
* Radiological protection, wastemanagement

TheNuclear Safety Regulation team: The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department overseesthe site’s nuclear regulations.The team exists to provide specialist adviceand services to the business with regards to nuclear/radiologicalsafety standards and compliance, and the development of safetycases. It is a key part of maintaining the license to operate.Thepurpose of this role is to provide leadership, oversight, andmanagement of a team of nuclear safety specialists roles to deliverdefined work packages to provide essential nuclear safety supportto major programmes of work of strategic national and internationalimportance.
