About the Team
The Retail Warehouse team within Heritage Services is dedicated to ensuring efficient stock management and supporting retail sales targets. The team handles stock for various visitor attractions, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring smooth and accurate stock deliveries. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that supports some of the most iconic heritage sites in the UK, including the Roman Baths, Victoria Art Gallery, and World Heritage Centre.
About the Role
The Stock Keeper plays a crucial role in receiving, storing, picking, and delivering retail stock in a safe and secure manner. This role involves unloading and stacking merchandise deliveries, verifying prices and barcodes, and delivering stock to various locations. The Stock Keeper also participates in stocktakes, maintains warehouse security, and ensures a clean and orderly working environment. This is a fixed term role, to support the warehouse team during the busiest trading period.
About You
Applicants should have basic literacy and numeracy skills, a valid driving licence, and knowledge of warehouse operating procedures, including health and safety protocols. Experience in a similar role, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain security and operate electronic security systems are essential. Familiarity with retail stock control software and knowledge of visitor attraction locations within Bath. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are crucial for this role.
