John Taylor MAT is proud to appoint the first member of Support Staff in its newest, and only ‘all-through’ school in our Trust family. Built from the ground up, Rugeley John Taylor will serve local communities, offering a ‘gold standard’ learning experience to the youngest learners all the way through to sixth formers.
This brand-new school, opening initially with Year 7 in the secondary phase in September 2025, will incorporate many of the features of John Taylor MAT that have become a hallmark of its success. This role requires someone with the right mix of technical ability, personal skills and adaptability, who can support the Executive Headteacher in building a strong team ethos, ensure compliance and make sound decisions on operational matters. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity to enhance existing skills, meet new challenges as the school grows and evolve in your school business professional career.
You could be ideal for this role if you have:
1. Experience in a similar role at a senior level within an Academy or Academy Trust
2. Sound financial acumen and an in-depth understanding of Academy finance
3. Well-developed people skills and experience of line management
4. Ability to use your initiative and manage your own workload
5. Interpersonal skills to liaise with a range of stakeholders
6. Motivation, flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of the role
Supported by a growing Leadership Team and Central Team professionals, you will play a key role in the evolution of this new school. If you have the right experience and skills, and the commitment to serve this local community, we want to hear from you.
