Summary of Role You will contribute to the estimating of new large projects in London including office/commercial developments, infrastructure and data centres. You will work with various members of the team being shown how to develop technical solutions for our customers, how to develop tender estimates and how to generate tender submissions. You will also witness 1st hand the enquiry to order process. What you will be doing: Reviewing and responding to enquiries sent allocated to you including updating our CRM system Goldvision. Reviewing and developing technical specifications and beginning to develop the proposal based on customer deadlines. Reviewing customer specifications, drawings, bills of quantities and other project documentation to produce an accurate quotation. Liaising with the design engineers, project management team and leadership to gain technical input into the quotation. Analysing level of risk associated with financial, technical elements of the project. Producing and submitting quotations to customers/clients. Progressing submitted quotations to obtain client feedback & prepare win/loss key performance indicators and lessons learnt. Professionally interacting with our customers either through email, telephone or site visits to further client satisfaction & increase sales opportunities. What we will need from you A genuine interest in the Sprinkler/Fire Protection industry (essential). Any previous experience with the Sprinkler/Fire Protection/Construction/Building Services/FM industries would be an advantage. A natural appetite for sales/estimating and willingness to develop yourself into a highly competent estimator with a desire to win (essential) You will be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and efficiency (essential) Proven IT skills with experience of MS office packages (essential). If you have previous experience of using Autocad or Autocad view products this would be an advantage. Ability to work independently and autonomously as well as an effective team player in a close knit and highly successful team (essential). Positive interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. Previous experience of working with customers would be an advantage. Naturally comfortable with working with numbers and data (essential). Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities (essential).
