Apprenticeship Tutor – Fire & Security\n \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Fire and Security engineers looking to take the next step in their careers by transitioning into a rewarding role as an Apprenticeship Tutor. This position offers the chance to share industry expertise with the next generation of engineers.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n \nDeliver sector-specific knowledge, skills, and behaviours to aspiring engineers and career changers. \nCreate an engaging and supportive learning environment while ensuring compliance with ESFA and Ofsted guidelines.
\nSupport learners beyond technical education, helping to prepare them for modern working life. \n \n Essential Skills & Experience:\n \nStrong hands-on experience in Fire & Security Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance. \nExcellent practical skills with the ability to teach and demonstrate core engineering principles.
\nMinimum of three years’ experience working in the field. \nFlexibility to travel and stay overnight on occasion (fully funded). \n \n Desirable Skills & Qualifications:\n \nIndustry-recognised certifications (e.g., FIA, FireQual, Milestone Advanced).
\nExperience mentoring, supervising, or training apprentices. \nStrong communication and presentation skills. \nA willingness to work toward a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education or higher).
\nAny previous Trainer/Tutor/Instructor/Assessor/Lecturer experience. \n Experienced apprenticeship tutors with demonstrable Fire and Security sector expertise are also encouraged to apply.\n\nSalary & Benefits:\n \nStarting salary circa £40K (dependent on experience) \n25 days holiday + bank holidays \nPension scheme \nTraining and professional development opportunities \n Training Provided\n Comprehensive training is fully funded to support a smooth transition into teaching
