We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive school in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the educational experience of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects
* Support students with their learning, both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, ensuring they understand and engage with the lesson
* Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring extra help with their studies
* Help prepare learning materials and resources, ensuring a stimulating and organised classroom environment
* Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Provide pastoral care, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students
* Support school activities, trips, and events, contributing to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Experience working with children in an educational setting (experience with SEN is an advantage)
* A positive and nurturing attitude with a commitment to supporting children’s well-being and academic progress
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* The flexibility to assist in a variety of classroom settings and adapt to the needs of individual learners
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to helping children overcome barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
