Main duties of the job
Spencer Private Hospitals (SPH) are pleased to be advertising for the post of an Operating Department Practitioner. SPH is an independent health care provider who offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to work in theatre caring for patients who are undergoing elective surgical procedures. These range from simple day cases to more complex large bowel operations. This breadth of service offers variety and challenge for the successful candidates.

JOB PURPOSE: To perform operating department duties under the direction of the Theatre Manager and assist the Consultants and work colleagues in a professional manner to ensure the smooth running, efficiency, and high standards of patient care and safety. * Manual handling of patients and manoeuvring heavy instrumentation and equipment

Qualifications
* HPC Registered
* Diploma in Health Care Studies
Experience
* Ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care

* HLS Teaching (Anaes)
