The role is to operate within the preparatory capability of the fraud function. It will ensure that all fraud risks and controls are clearly documented and managed. All fraud threats are identified and proactively mitigated and planned change across VMO2 is considered for fraud risk with requirements raised and delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting fraud strategy by assisting in building a high performance function.
2. Managing threat data by maintaining up to date knowledge on threat intelligence technologies, with a focus on fraud and payments technology and associated processes.
3. Tracking developments and trends in fraud systems and regulations.
4. Handling systemic risk processes, including documentation, definitions, associated controls, risk evaluation.
5. Researching and reporting on enterprise risk and fraud performance.
6. Monitoring changes in fraudulent behaviour and modi operandi across VMO2 customer base, the Telco sector and beyond.
7. Understanding and assisting in preventing network frauds like tunnelling, revenue share, and smishing/vishing.
The must haves:
* Forecast impact of changes on fraud and business performance.
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
* Experience with risk management software.
* Insight into business and fraud performance.
* Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
