Tradewind Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work with an outstanding SEND school in Wigan, supporting primary-aged children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). As a Teaching Assistant, your role is to support the school's children with their learning and general well-being to ensure every child is able to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. Where necessary this may include supporting with care needs sometimes, as well as demonstrating positive behaviour management skills, adopting an individualised approach to each pupil. The ideal candidate will establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to ensure they feel safe, and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School, and to promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times. The pay for this Teaching Assistant role in Wigan will be £85- £95 per day dependant upon experience - and this will be paid directly via PAYE by our amazing on-site payroll team, without the need for signing up with a third party umbrella company. Successful candidates for this Teaching Assistant role are likely to demonstrate: Experience working with SEMH children or adults in an employed or voluntary setting Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
