PR & Communications Executive
Location: Epping (5 days per week based on site with flexible working)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

The PR and Communications Executive is tasked with executing impactful external and internal communications to support business objectives. Success in this role is defined by the ability to create compelling content, build strong stakeholder relationships, and demonstrate the effectiveness of PR and communication initiatives through measurable results.
Role Scope
External and internal communications and content creation for the company
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations
Attend quarterly meetings with Regional Directors to stay informed on key development milestones for PR planning.
Serve as the primary contact for the PR agency, coordinating regular calls, PR schedules, and bi-monthly marketing/communications meetings.
Brief the PR agency on communications campaigns, sales launches, and events.
Provide the PR agency with necessary information for press releases, including sales brochures, design and access statements, and internal discussions.
Oversee the drafting and editing of press releases, ensuring approval from relevant colleagues, stakeholders, clients, and partners.
Draft quotes for press opportunities, partner press releases, and journalist requests.
Support project teams during press events and broadcast opportunities.
Maintain the PR coverage database.
External Communications
Assist the Digital Communications & Content Executive with drafting blogs and website copy.
Coordinate the production of communications materials, including development brochures and PR-related collateral, using InDesign.
Brief and support agencies in creating award submissions, ensuring all criteria and deadlines are met.
Research and gather information to meet awards criteria.
Write and design award entries and submissions using InDesign.
Assist with post-submission activities, including coordinating site visits and presentations for judges.
Internal Communications
Support the Internal Communications & Events Executive with writing and creating content for:
Intranet (The Hub) blogs
Posters
Newsletters
Quarterly staff magazine
Team Involvement
Assist with and attend corporate events as needed.
Promote collaboration and idea-sharing within the team and department to enhance alignment and optimisation of corporate and sales-driven PR activities.
Act as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent use of branding and adherence to guidelines across the business.
Support the Head of Communications and Communications Team with additional projects as required.
Success Measures
Creation of accurate, high-quality content that effectively communicates key messages and engages target audiences.
Timely and accurate delivery of press releases.
High-quality copy-writing for quotes and statements.
Increased engagement and participation in blog features.
Meeting all awards criteria, accurately showcasing company achievements, and submitting entries on time.
Consistent communication of the brand identity across all owned channels
