About the Role:
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead the development and growth of our new Managed Procurement Services offering. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of public sector procurement by delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions that address the challenges faced by government agencies and other public sector organisations.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of innovative Managed Procurement Services that address the unique needs and challenges of the public sector, including budget constraints, increasing demand for value for money, complex regulatory requirements.
* Build and lead a high-performing team of Procurement Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the public sector, including government agencies, local authorities, and other public sector organizations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR2015, and advise clients on navigating the legislative framework.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and identify new areas for value creation while maintaining strict adherence to the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR2015.
* Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, assess performance, and inform strategic decision-making to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the public sector (e.g., central government, local authorities, NHS).
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR2015 and its implications for public sector procurement.
* Excellent leadership, mentorship, and team management skills.
* Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful business strategies within the public sector.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS, MCIPS) and demonstrated continued professional development in relation to the Procurement Act 2023 are highly desirable.
