The role is based in GPM but will require regular site visits / inspections on a weekly basis as a minimum with an anticipated workload of 4 to 5 live schemes throughout the next 18 - 24 months. Job Summary : As a Technical Coordinator within the cladding remediation Team, you will be responsible for addressing fire safety concerns across Hill Partnerships' legacy developments, with a specific focus on building facades. This role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with fire safety standards and regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the remediation process, ensuring adherence to quality control and legislative standards. Key Responsibilities : Evaluate and remediate fire safety issues on building facades within Hill Partnerships' legacy developments. Demonstrate competence in a variety of cladding systems, including those on both High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and non-HRBs. Possess a strong understanding of active and passive fire protection design. Stay current with relevant regulatory frameworks, including the Approved Documents, particularly Part B (Fire Safety). Communicate and collaborate effectively with Building Control and Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to ensure compliance. Oversee and monitor de-construction works, identifying deviations from previous designs and proactively updating architectural designs as necessary. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve onsite buildability issues and ensure the proposed designs reflect these solutions. Ensure all remedial works are compliant with legislative and regulatory standards, in line with Fire Risk Assessments of External Walls (FRAEWs). Review and approve material specifications to be used across various projects. Critically analyse and develop non-typical details to address complex building challenges. Provide on-site technical liaison / support and maintain quality control throughout the remediation process. Regularly communicate project progress with clients and internal Hill Partnerships teams. Compile comprehensive project records to ensure smooth handover upon completion. Qualifications & Skills : Strong understanding and experience with a variety of cladding systems and fire safety principles. In-depth knowledge of fire protection design, both active and passive. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including the Approved Documents and Part B. Proven ability to engage with regulatory bodies such as Building Control and the Building Safety Regulator (BSR). Experience in overseeing de-construction works and updating architectural designs in response to onsite developments. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors. Ability to ensure compliance with legislative standards, with a particular focus on meeting Fire Risk Assessment requirements. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to critically analyse and develop complex architectural solutions. Experience in on-site technical liaison/ support and quality control during remediation projects. Strong organizational skills with the ability to compile detailed records for project handovers.
