We have an exciting opportunity to join the established, collaborative, and dynamic Peer Review Administration (PRA) Team. The PRA Team is responsible for managing the peer review and article acquisition process for journals across a range of subject areas.

About the role
Your focus will be managing the peer review process of a set portfolio of journals in a wide variety of STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) subject areas.
The tasks are varied and typically include, but are not limited to:
1. Standard administrative tasks related to a list of journals, including building and maintaining key stakeholder relations and collaboration.
2. Researching and proposing innovative development and efficiencies.
3. Working collaboratively and effectively with the PRA Team through best-practice sharing and discussion contributions.
4. Being the expert point of contact: serving as the central point-of-contact for any queries related to any stage of manuscript processing from pre- to post-peer review.
About you
You will be a well-organized individual with a passion for data management, accuracy, and excellent communication skills. You will seek to build on an existing understanding of academic journal publishing and progress your career.
To be successful in this role, you will work proactively and autonomously, ensuring smooth peer review processing while providing efficiencies.
* Knowledge of submission platforms (preferably ScholarOne Manuscripts and Editorial Manager); talented in the use of systems and software; extensive knowledge of publishing workflows and processes including peer review.
* Proven skills in delivering training.
* IT skills with proficiency in Office applications.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective and professional communication.
* Strong organization and time management skills.
