The Security Liaison Manager will be responsible for ensuring all necessary security approvals and compliance measures are in place to support the successful delivery of the programme, as well as broader security needs into Poland. This role involves close collaboration with Product Security Leads, UK Security Services, and Polish Security Stakeholders to facilitate secure operations and technology transfer.
This role is critical to ensuring secure collaboration and programme success between UK and Polish stakeholders.
Requirements
Export Control Compliance (e.g., UK Export Control Act, EAR)
* Ensuring that any defence-related exports (hardware, software, technical data) comply with UK export licensing and international trade regulations (e.g., UK Export Control Act, US ITAR/EAR where applicable).
* Coordinating with UK MoD and internal compliance teams to support F680 applications, which are required for exporting controlled defence items.
* Making sure that the Security Grading Guide (SGG) aligns with export control classifications.
Technology Transfer & Security Approvals
* Working with product teams to define and implement secure methods for transferring sensitive technology to Poland, ensuring compliance with UK and Polish regulations.
* Ensuring Polish approvals align with UK security and export requirements to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
* Coordinating with Polish industry partners to ensure approved methods of movement for sensitive defence materials.
Facility Security Clearance (FSC) & Trade Compliance
* Supporting FSC applications, ensuring that Polish partners handling UK-controlled technology meet the required security standards.
* Keeping accurate records of security approvals and compliance documentation to align with export control audits and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Mitigation
* Acting as a liaison between security, compliance, and export control teams to address any potential conflicts or risks.
* Engaging with UK MoD and Polish authorities to align security measures with broader trade and defence policies .
* Addressing queries from the Polish customer regarding security and export control restrictions, working with relevant UK authorities for resolution.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong knowledge of trade compliance and export controls an advantage
* Strong knowledge of UK and Polish security regulations and approval processes.
* Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including government and industry partners.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain security requirements and procedures effectively.
* Strong organisational skills to manage approvals, records, and compliance activities.
* Bi-lingual skills an advantage
