Objective of the Role:
To maintain consistent standards of service and ensure guest satisfaction while creating a work environment that supports organisational values. Responsible for all front office functions and staff. As a department head, directs and works with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures along with maintaining highest accommodation standards. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximise the financial performance of the department year on year.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the day to day running of the Front Office Department and daily checks of accommodation standards, feeding any issues directly with the accommodation team and supervisors.
* Training and development of the front office team to ensure consistently high standards.
* To actively lead by example to ensure good Customer care, team work and seamless handovers...
* Review current operation procedures and update in line with developing best practice.
* Monitor standards with the front office and accommodation teams.
* Monitor the guest log to ensure all guest concerns are followed to a satisfactory conclusion
* To develop & motivate the front desk team, maximising all revenue opportunities.
* Hold departmental communication meetings with the front office and accommodation department.
* Work with the Accommodation Management team to ensure standards are consistently maintained within the department.
* Weekly review of our room preventative maintenance programme with supervisors to ensure the Bedroom products are kept in the best condition.
* Ensuring all requests and correspondence are responded to in a timely and accurate manner.
* Assist in the preparation of the yearly Rooms Revenue Budget.
* Plan and implement effective upselling activities to maximise room revenue.
* Update hotel availability and constantly update the reservations system in conjunction with competitive influences for the property and market.
* Assist in the forecasting and rooms management budgeting for the Hotel.
* Review with GM monthly KPIs to ensure our performance is in line with best Industry norms.
