Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Chef is responsible for the restaurant kitchen led by the main chef including the planning, preparation and helping the main chef. The Assistant chef will also work with the kitchen team, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans and prepares spices, masalas and other ingredients ensuring that they meet the needs of the restaurant’s customers.
Assist main chef with food preparation, including chopping, slicing and measuring ingredients.
Support chefs in the cooking and assembly of dishes ensuring adherence to recipes.
Collaborate with kitchen staffs to coordinate the timely execution of food orders.
Oversee the preparation and production of foods, ensuring that they are of highest quality.
Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
