About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide tailored support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting resources to meet students' needs. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students develop confidence and independence. Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to monitor progress. Support the integration of students into classroom activities and school life. Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Requirements Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable. A caring and patient attitude with excellent communication skills. Understanding of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning needs. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
