Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated part-time nutritionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialise in using blood-based biomarkers and functional health assessments to provide personalised nutrition advice and interventions. This role involves analyzing biomarker data, interpreting results, and developing tailored nutrition plans. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a key role in helping us develop a bio-blood biomarker-based product aimed at enhancing nutritional insights and health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Biomarker Analysis: Interpret blood test results, including but not limited to, vitamin and mineral levels, inflammatory markers (e.g., CRP), glucose management indicators (e.g., HbA1c), and other relevant biomarkers to assess nutritional status and health risks.
* Functional Health Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional health, focusing on gut health, immune function, detoxification capacity, and hormonal balance.
* Personalised Nutrition Planning: Develop and implement an automated nutritional planning based on biomarker data and functional health assessments to address specific nutritional deficiencies or imbalances.
* Product Development: Collaborate with our team to design and develop a bio-blood biomarker-based product. This includes:
* Research and Analysis: Conduct literature reviews and analyse existing research on blood biomarkers and their applications in nutrition and health.
* Product Conceptualisation: Help conceptualise the product's features and functionalities, ensuring it aligns with current scientific evidence and market needs.
* Testing and Validation: Assist in testing and validating the product's effectiveness and user experience.
* Patient Consultations: Conduct consultations with clients to discuss their health goals, explain biomarker results, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
* Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals and our development team to ensure integrated care and share insights on nutritional interventions and product development.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Degree or Master's in Nutrition or related field. Registration with a professional body such as the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) is desirable.
* Experience: Previous experience in analysing blood-based biomarkers, developing personalised nutrition plans, and involvement in product development or research projects is essential.
* Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, communicate effectively with clients, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Certifications: Certification in functional medicine or similar specialised training is advantageous.
