Senior Employment Solicitor/Director
TSR Legal are currently working exclusively with a multi-office law firm based in Cardiff who are looking for an experienced Senior Employment Solicitor/Director to join our dynamic and growing Employment team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of Wales’ leading law firms, advising a broad range of clients on complex and high-profile employment law matters.

The Employment team advises businesses, public sector organisations, and individuals on a wide range of employment law issues. With a reputation for excellence and an emphasis on building strong client relationships, we deliver pragmatic and commercially sound advice. The firm is currently looking to grow its employment offering in Cardiff after successfully establishing this in a number of offices.
The Role:
As a Senior Employment Solicitor/Director you will:
1. Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment law matters, including redundancy, TUPE, discrimination claims, and employment tribunal proceedings.
2. Advise employers on day-to-day HR and employment law issues, including drafting contracts, policies, and managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
3. Act for employees on complex matters such as settlement agreements and unfair dismissal claims.
4. Represent clients in employment tribunal claims, including advocacy where appropriate.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering tailored, commercial advice that supports their goals.
6. Contribute to the growth of the Employment practice through business development, networking, and marketing initiatives.
7. Mentor and support junior solicitors and trainees within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced solicitor who:
1. Has 6+ years PQE in employment law.
2. Demonstrates strong technical expertise, including knowledge of complex employment legislation and case law.
3. Possesses excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and instill confidence.
4. Is commercially minded and proactive, with a proven track record in business development.
5. Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and enjoys mentoring junior colleagues.
