My client, a leading company in the injection moulding industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Pitman 12-hour shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll be key to ensuring the efficient running of machinery, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing engineer
Identify unsafe practices, escalate immediately, and propose solutions to overcome issues.
Verify that manufacturing processes are fit for purpose by ensuring quality and performance targets are met, with no health and safety issues.
Conduct risk assessments when required to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with Quality Engineers to assess the effectiveness of quality control systems.
Develop operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for manufacturing processes/equipment.
Monitor manufacturing processes and identify potential improvements for efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to colleagues on existing and new equipment.
Participate in process improvement teams to resolve production-related issues.
Stay updated on industry specifications, technology, and manufacturing processes.
Attend training courses and participate in a Continuing Professional Development programme to gain professional recognition.
Qualifications & Requirements – Manufacturing Engineer
Extensive manufacturing experience in injection moulding and assembly equipment.
Ideally educated to degree level, or hold an advanced apprenticeship in engineering (or equivalent work-based experience).
Engineering experience with strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Assembly and moulding equipment experience (desired).
PLC experience (desired).
Air and pneumatics training (desired).
