A large public sector organisation is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team on a permanent basis. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to operate within a busymercial estate in Barnsley.
You will be reporting into an estates manager & foreman.
Working hours: Shift work with the following pattern:
(Occasional on-call and overtime also required)
Own hand tools will be required but technical equipment provided.
The client will require a DBS check before a start.
£34,000 basic salary plus on call and call out bonuses, which could increase earnings up to £39,000
Your new role
You will use your Electrical Engineering skills to carry out proactive planned maintenance of ventilation, heating, cooling, building management, medical gas, steam raising, and nurse call systems. You will also carry out reactive tasks within KPI and SLA targets ensuring that our customers are satisfied with the work that has been carried out.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
• To havepleted a full, recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• To hold a BTEC NVQ Level 3/ONC/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
• To hold IET 18th Edition Certificate.
• Team worker, self-motivated and flexible.
• Hold a full valid driving license.
Desirable:
• Additional trade relevant certification Heating, Ventilation, Natural Gas, Control Systems, PPM.
• Accredited HTMpetent Person Course.
• Resuscitation/First Aid Training.
• Infection Control Awareness Training.
