Ward are an award winning, independently owned Waste and Recycling company and we are looking to appointment a Load Inspector.
As a load inspector operator based at Ward, Ilkeston, you will serve as the compliance operative responsible for ensuring material suitability for the site. You will be responsible for photographing and identifying material composition of inbound loads. You will also assist in maintain the traffic flow of the site. This is a customer facing role and requires good communication and people skills. You will be a member of a small team of inspectors but at times you will work independently inspecting individual areas.
An overview of the role:
* You will be a point of communications for customers
* You will report on material compositions of loads identifying non-conforming materials
* Through photographing inbound materials you will maintain site material acceptance procedures, identifying contamination levels
* You will direct vehicles through the site controlling the flow of traffic
Skills and Knowledge Required:
* The job will require the use of basic software on company devices – full onsite system training will be provided
* You will be highly motivated and trustworthy
* You will have good communication and people skills
* Due to the nature of a large site, there will be some moderate walking involved
* Previous load inspector experience is beneficial, but not required
* Experience within the metal/waste recycling industry is beneficial, but not required
* Experience with traffic control and/or banksman training is beneficial, but not required
* Working hours would be 07.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday.
