We are looking for a team player and ambitious Theatre Stores Clerk to join our amazing team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
You’ll be at the heart of our theatre services, playing a vital role in keeping things running smoothly across the department. You will be based at Peterborough City Hospital working across our Trust hospital sites as required.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and ready to take on the responsibilities of the role, including managing stock levels, helping to unload deliveries, and organizing the stores.
You’ll be the key person for our teams and suppliers, keeping everyone informed with updates, deliveries, and any issues that come up. High standards of communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential to the role.

* Stock Management: Receive, identify, and relocate stock, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with the Trust’s standards. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, resolving any issues with stock, including damaged deliveries or discrepancies.
* Stock Replenishment & Organisation: Oversee the maintenance and secure storage of stock, ensuring all areas are fully stocked and ready for theatre needs.
* Physical Effort: This role involves physical tasks, including lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, bending, and carrying equipment throughout your shift. Reasonable adjustments will be provided as needed to support employees.
* Annual Stock Take: Actively contribute to the annual stocktake process, ensuring stock levels are accurate and recorded correctly.
* Customer Service & Communication: Assist senior staff with orders, availability, and pricing queries, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that equipment is well-maintained and send for repairs when necessary, keeping track of instruments sent and returned.
* Travel Between Sites: The role will require travel between our hospitals, ensuring that stock and equipment are delivered, managed, and stored across multiple locations in a timely manner.
