The post holder will be responsible for providing the operational procurement service to the Trust and establishing a best-in-class operational procurement department within the NHS Mental Health and Community sector. Main duties of the job The post holder will have prime responsibility for the management and internal control of the Accounts Payable element of the Trust SBS contract and to provide a responsive and customer-focussed operational procurement service comprising: Operational buying Materials management Receipt and distribution Payment processing Catalogue management Provision of Purchase to Pay training Systems administration Travel management The successful candidate will collaborate with the Finance lead to oversee the operational and commercial contract management of the third-party financial system contract (SBS Oracle), with a focus on leading the Purchase to Pay function. This will involve monitoring the contract and negotiating with SBS management. The postholder will also play a key role in the Hampshire-wide management of SBS, serving as the chair of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Contract Management Group (HIOG) and as a member of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Board (HISB).
