your potential in this role. Working alongside the Trust’s experienced staff you will be supported to gain the apprenticeship qualification and
functional skills in Maths and English if required. This is a great opportunity to gain a national recognised qualification while you are working and learning, which will support you in both this role and in your future career at Frimley Health.
You will not be required to undertake an apprenticeship if you have previously completed a relevant apprenticeship, NVQ or similar qualification.
You will be primarily assisting the nursing team with care of the patients and will facilitate the smooth running of the department which includes supporting the team in the eye treatment centre, our two eye wards and our mobile macular unit.
You need to be driven and prepared to deliver high quality care and have attention to detail.

• To ensure that all assigned duties both clinical and non-clinical are carried out efficiently and effectively in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• To assist medical and nursing staff with clinical procedures and non clinical duties.
• To ensure that all patients and other members of the public and staff are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required.
• To ensure that any telephone messages or enquiries are conveyed and dealt with in a timely and clear manner.
• To fulfil non-nursing duties as assigned by senior staff members in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• At all times to be aware of the limits of their own levels of competence and at no time attempt tasks above and beyond their abilities and to work within the limits set by departmental policies
