Job Overview: CPU Design Engineers are responsible for innovation and development of modern microprocessors. For Principal CPU Design Engineer we are seeking a dedicated, versatile individual with strong technical leadership and in-depth understanding across multiple aspects of CPU design. Responsibilities: Your role will be to define and build hardware RTL designs for low-power and area efficiency, to write and review documentation, to provide planning, tracking and reporting in order to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of CPU IP. Required Skills and Experience: Hands-on proficiency with System Verilog, Verilog or VHDL HDL for RTL design Expertise in synthesizable design that achieve area, frequency and power targets; ability to make judgements on functionality and performance trade-offs Track record of writing specifications and documentation describing complex designs Capacity to own all stages of a project, from start to completion: concept, specification, implementation and testing, support Proven technical and/or team leadership skills Practical experience of working on microprocessor designs ‘Nice to Have’ Skills and Experience: Working knowledge of SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) Mentoring team members Knowledge of scripting eg Python, Perl or unix shell scripting Knowledge of assembly language (preferably ARM), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages e.g. SystemVerilog In return: You will get to influence the direction of our CPU product lines, learn about the latest CPU technologies and utilise your engineering skills to build support for the technologies and influence millions of devices for years to come.
