I am looking for personal care for a Man
Drivers licence required: Yes
Hours per week:
Full time and part time hours available, 7 days per week. Hours can be flexible. Please apply stating your availability.
Hourly pay rate:
£12.50 per hour rising to £14.01 per hour on completion of training
I am a 22-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. I am non-verbal and a wheelchair user. I enjoy doing fun things, outings and being around people. I require outgoing, friendly, and well organised personal care assistant/carers to join my amazing, existing team of PAs to support me with my personal care in the morning and afternoons.
The mornings will involve assisting getting me ready for me to go to my day centre and the afternoons will require youto assist with a Cecostomy washout, shower, and medications. All training will be provided for aspects of my care, but experience of Epilepsy would be an advantage.
I have been told I am mischievous and have a good sense of humour, there is never a dull moment with me! If you feel you have what it takes, you are up for a laugh but can still maintain your professionalism, this could be the right opportunity for you.
Cover for sickness and holidays available.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required
Administration
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Will be required to take regular lateral flow tests and report results to employer

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
