The successful applicant will join a large team based within the Department of Language & Cognition, in Bloomsbury, London. About the role The successful applicant will lead a module on the management of developmental speech, language and communication disorders, coordinating and delivering teaching, preparing course materials, and undertaking module assessment duties. They will act as a clinical tutor, facilitating students' professional skills development and their application of theory to practice through weekly small group clinical tutorials and support for clinical placements. They will ensure that teaching is research-led. They will be allocated general programme duties, including interviewing applicants, acting as a personal tutor, and assessing clinical vivas. The position is offered as a maternity cover for 12 months on a part- time basis (0.4FTE) with a salary of £52,487 - £61,534 per annum (pro -rata) and inclusive of London allowance. For queries about the position and information about the application process please contact pals.hrucl.ac.uk About you The successful applicant will be a HCPC registered speech and language therapist with: • expertise in the field of developmental speech, language and communication disorders • experience of applying evidence to the management of developmental speech, language and communication disorders • experience of facilitating effective small group learning for adults, and student learning in a clinical context • working knowledge of professional standards for speech and language therapy pre-registration training. A clinical specialism in language disorders is desirable, as is the experience of working as a tutor on a pre-registration speech and language therapy training programme at a UK university.
