This is an exciting position for Early Literacy intervention where you will be working with small groups of ākonga each day. You will provide targeted and personalised support in the classroom. This role is funded by the Ministry of Education and the Haeata Board for 2025.
We are looking for a passionate advocate for learners and learning, with an open mindset who can work collaboratively at all times. You will have experience engaging with ākonga and their whānau.
* To cater for the collective education and wellbeing of all Haeata ākonga, especially in Literacy practices in Y1-3.
* To uphold the values of Haeata Community Campus.
* To lead learning with and for kaiako, ākonga and whānau in Kōmanawa.
Haeata Community Campus is a Y1–13 urban area school located in Christchurch East.

* Confident use of te reo Māori and knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
* Confident understanding of and practice in te ao Māori and its implications for teaching in a bilingual setting and multicultural kura/school.
