Day-to-day of the role: Work closely with a child who has complex emotional needs, ensuring proactive intervention to maintain a calm learning environment. Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when necessary. Understand the educational needs of pupils and tailor support to meet these needs Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and the organisation of the classroom to create an engaging learning environment. Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide targeted support to enhance learning outcomes. Engage with pupils to foster a sense of community and serve as a positive role model. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience working with children, especially those with complex emotional needs. Strong capability to support KS3 and KS4 students. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. A genuine passion for helping students succeed and thrive.
