Are you a skilled field service engineer with experience in robotics, electrical systems, and automation? Do you want to work with cutting-edge robotic welding technology and receive ongoing specialist training?
A leading provider of automated welding solutions is looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain robotic welding systems across the UK & Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most advanced robotic automation systems in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
✅ Servicing, repairing, and commissioning robotic welding systems on customer sites
✅ Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical components
✅ Interpreting electrical schematics to assist with installations and system upgrades
✅ Preventative maintenance and system optimization to ensure maximum performance
✅ Providing on-site technical support and training to customers
✅ Field-based role covering the UK & Ireland, with occasional overnight stays (up to 3 times per week)
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Electrical qualifications – essential (Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
🔹 Ability to interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with electrical systems
🔹 Robotic experience (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or similar) is highly advantageous
🔹 Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including automation and control systems
🔹 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field
🔹 Strong communication skills – ability to provide clear technical support to customers
🔹 Full UK driving licence – must be comfortable with travel and overnight stays
