Transition Project Analyst Hybrid – with UK travel for meetings/visits Full Time, Permanent £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

As a Transition Project Analyst, you’ll work closely with our experienced Transition Managers and Principal Transition Leads to help deliver high-quality programmes. This role involves supporting key project activities across the bidding and delivery stages, such as developing plans, managing risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID), and monitoring project progress. Whether you’re assisting with scope definition or quality-checking deliverables, your work will be essential to ensuring the smooth running of our projects.
Key Responsibilities: Working across both bids and contract mobilisation & transition programmes, you will: Project Scope and Planning Support:
Assist with defining project scope and developing plans for new and ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and Serco’s best practices. Risk and Issue Management:
Identify, record, and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID) to support the smooth progression of projects. Communicate key risks and issues to stakeholders and propose corrective actions where needed. Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Contribute to the creation and quality-checking of essential project documentation, ensuring all materials meet Serco’s high standards and support effective governance processes. Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and partner organisations, to foster alignment and collaboration across project teams. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
Track project milestones and deliverables, preparing status updates to provide a clear and consistent view of project progress and highlight any emerging risks or delays. Support Assurance and Deliverability Reviews:
Participate in deliverability and assurance reviews, ensuring projects adhere to quality benchmarks and best practices from planning through to delivery. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Contribute to the improvement of tools, templates, and methodologies by providing feedback and suggestions that help enhance the effectiveness of the transition management team. Operational Readiness and Cutover Planning:
Support the team in preparing for operational go-live, coordinating cutover activities, and ensuring that transition plans are effectively executed.
What We’re Looking For: We are flexible on experience – whether you’re already in a project management role or feel you can bring transferable skills from a similar field, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you’ll have experience in project delivery or programme support and an interest in project management fundamentals. Skills and Experience Desired Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMO setup, PRINCE2, MSP). Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; familiarity with Smartsheet or Power BI is a plus. Strong collaboration, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
