Key Job Responsibilities
This team tackles the difficult challenges managing app Stability, Release tooling, and SDK management for the Amazon Music Mobile, Tablet, and TV apps. This team operates in a fast-paced, innovative and highly ambiguous environment. A successful manager will be able to anticipate requirements, surface innovative solutions, strive to improve overall development efficiency, and retain highly talented engineers. You will work closely with product and technical teams in the US and India. You will lead a talented and nimble team of development engineers. You are an ambitious and empathetic leader who can prioritize well, knows how to deal with ambiguity, changes in scope, has excellent communication skills, and a solid track record for delivering results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
2. 7+ years of engineering experience.
3. Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
4. Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
5. Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
2. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
3. Experience with audio or video streaming technologies.
4. Experience with AWS capabilities.
