Job description We are seeking experienced female support workers for a 2:1 complex care package for a female client living in the NE9 area of Gateshead who has Prader-Willi Syndrome alongside other health conditions and associated complexities under the Learning Disability framework. Sponsorships not available. Full UK licence and access to your own car would be beneficial Shift requirements – Saturday’s - 11.30am-4pm- although this could alter so please only apply if you can be flexible. Salary: £12.33 - £14.06- with enhancements for bank holidays. Part time hours. Main responsibilities: Supporting the individual in a person-centred way Overseeing strict routines as devised in support plans from a range of professionals Supporting some aspects of personal care Providing clinical interventions as required Assisting community enabling / homecare / respite visits. Administering and managing all levels of medication if required- including rescue medication. Manage and monitor nutritional and fluid intake / output. Assist at activities while advocating and empowering independence. Working in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuing compliance for Health and Safety. Ensuring all records are maintained according to policy and procedure. Attend all training / workshops and competency sessions. Attend team meetings. To respond positively to changing needs and managing risk effectively. To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required All applicants will need to evidence they have the required experience or previous training in areas of Autistic Spectrum Disorder / Learning Disabilities /and Challenging Behaviours. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders Act alongside exemption from the Equality Act. A satisfactory Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS / Update Service DBS is required for the post.
